Day 5

Day 5: Picture of your favorite memory

I attached a couple of pictures from various film shoots I worked on while in college with friends that were film majors. It started out with just assisting in small things like hold this, get me that .. and eventually escalated into me doing makeup and hair, helping with wardrobe, taking pictures, etc. These were some of the funnest times I had in college .. I guess it helped that I worked on the films that my best friends were involved in.

Day 3

Day 3: Picture of the cast from your favorite show(s)

I added the (s) because I am indecisive and I have more than one show I like ... here are three of the many ...

HOUSE: Dr. House is such a jerk ... and I love it ... sometimes I feel like being brutally honest too ... Is that allowed off camera?

BONES: So disgusting ... yet, so amazing ... and I love how socially awkward Bones is ... I have started to quote her "I don't know what that means" ...

TOP GEAR: Stephen turned me on to this show ... I don't like cars ... I love the ridiculous things they do with/to the cars though ... hilarious ...

Day 2

Day 2: A picture of you and the person you have been close with for the longest.

I refuse to choose just one person ... so I have 4 :)

Caitlin, me, mom, and Megan at my graduation from Chapman.

Megan, Caitlin, dad, and me at our family photo shoot. This picture was taken between family shots because we all just happened to be sitting together. It's my favorite from the whole day.

MOM:
My mom is obviously the person I've been closest with the longest, considering I was, at one point, attached to her. If I had to choose only one person to answer this photo challenge it would be her. My mom is the person I go to when I am happy, sad, excited, scared, frustrated, etc. I tell her everything ... well, everything she needs to know ... ! I love her with all of my heart strings.

DAD:
My daddy is ... my daddy ... I love him to infinity and beyond. When I see my dad I see warmth, love, and joy. He is one of the funniest people I know and he is always able to make me smile ... but when I need a shoulder he is always there to let me cry. He has been my piggy-back ride, hairdresser, doctor, encourager, and so many more things ... I will always be my daddy's little girl.

MEGAN:
My big sis Megan, or, once upon a time, Sisi ... we've been through a lot. I've always looked up to her and she, unknowingly, has taught me a lot about life. Megan is somewhat shy most of the time. She is humble, down-to-earth, and one of the kindest hearts you will ever know. I know I annoyed her when growing up ... she told me ... and punched me a few times ... but she always let me stick around for some reason. I've learned a lot from watching her and more from talking with her. I love her.

CAITLIN:
My little sister Caitlin ... I used to despise this one ... I made sure she knew it too. But one day I grew up and I saw that I had been throwing rocks at an angel. I owe Caitlin more than I can imagine ... and more than she would ever count because she doesn't keep track. When I actually gave her the time of day I found a friend, a confidant, truth, laughter, hope, and love ... I found a sister. Caitlin is the closest person to me besides my mom. I love her.

DAY 1

So, I've decided to give this whole 100 day photo challenge a try out of pure boredom. It is something I found on Facebook but decided to do here instead < http://www.facebook.com/pages/60-day-photo-challenge/190569130955283 >. Valentines Day

I hate this day ... particularly because I am always single on this day. One day I am sure I will love it and on that day I do NOT want chocolate, I do NOT want flowers, I do NOT want a stuffed animal, I do NOT want any cliche this-is-the-day-i-love-you items. I just want a box with nothing in it but a promise that prince charming will love me everyday ... because he actually loves me and not just because he thinks he should.
Happy Valentines Day to those of you in love. May everyday be filled with the same love as the last with a hope of more in the future.
Happy Valentines Day to those of you who are single. May your dreams be filled with a prince or princess that will one day manifest so you too can celebrate this day of love.

I do believe that someday my prince will come. I just hope that it will be sooner than later.

written

I write. I love to write. But I don't share it. I'm not sure why. I suppose I am scared of people stealing it or judging me on it. I don't think I should care about either of these things. But I do. I am greedy and self-concious. Both are things that satan teaches us to be. Plus, I wonder if I actually wrote these things myself? Doesn't God know everything I do before it is done? So, in effect, did he already write these things, using me as a mere vessel to share it? In that case should't I share it? But the thing is - some of it, most of it, is kind-of depressing. Afterall I am most inspired when I am feeling down, alone, depressed ... aka under satan's thumb. So is it satan, then, that wants me to share these things - to relate hate and sadness? In that case I should not share. Or was it just me? Using a talent God gave me, influenced by the world, and writing what has/hasn't been thought of or written before? In that case I want to share it. But do I? I want people to read it. I want people to relate to me and me to them. But at the same time ... is this the message I want to convey? Shouldn't I want my writing to reflect the love of God and all things beautiful? I do. It's just not where my inspiration and desire to think or write comes from. I use pressure, I use pain, and I use loneliness as a launching point to create. When will that change? And ... should it?

play things

I think that everyone has desires and urges; that we are all tempted to do things we may know are wrong. I think that is what makes us human. If we were perfect, well ... we wouldn't be; human, that is. It is the choice, however, of giving into these wrong desires and temptations that makes us satan's play things.
